The leaves of the plants are small and rounded, and they grow in a basal rosette close to the ground. They are a light green colour and have a slightly succulent texture. The flower is a distinctive reddish-brown colour and has a unique, spoon-shaped lip. The flower also has two small petals and a dorsal sepal that are greenish-yellow in colour.
