Paphiopedilum Rothschildianum is also called Rothschild's Paphiopedilum. It is a medium- to large-sized, clear-leafed, multiflowered, warm- to cool-growing terrestrial, and sometimes lithophytic species. It has narrowly elliptic or ligulate, suberect leaves that bloom in the spring and summer. The flowers are about 14-35 cm wide. The upper sepals are yellow and maroon-striped, the lateral petals are hairy and the same colour as the sepals. It has a maroon-colored pouch-like lip with a classy look. Some leaves on these plants are cut owing to the physical damages occurred during import transit. Be assured they are free of any infection.
