Coelogyne Xyrekes, also known as the Smooth and Clean Shaven Coelogyne, is a medium-sized, warm to cool-growing epiphyte species with clustered, dark glossy green pseudobulbs carrying a single, pink to purple in youth, dark glossy green leaf that gradually narrows into a distinct petiole and blooms in the late winter on a successively single to five-flowered inflorescence with an acute sheath, all arising from the centre of a new growth and carrying color-variable, sometimes sweetly scented flowers.
