Cattleya Violacea var Semi Alba is a small to medium-sized, hot to warm growing species. It produces fragrant, long-lived flowers that open very flat, all arising on a newly formed pseudobulb. The sepals and petals are white with the massive lip, which is folded over the column at the base, but in front is spreading and kidney-shaped, crimson-purple in colour, blotched with yellow and white.
