Flowers appear in clusters and provide a vivid red contrast to the darker foliage and pseudobulbs, which are a great contrast to the green leaves. It blooms in the late spring on a basal, erect to descending, slender, long, to 13 flowered inflorescence that is shorter than the leaves.
